  • 2 cans (21 ounces each) cherry pie filling
  • 1 box (15.25 ounces) chocolate cake mix
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup hot fudge sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish to prevent sticking.
  3. Pour the cherry pie filling into the baking pan and spread it evenly across the bottom.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix and melted butter until just mixed; do not overmix.
  5. Spoon the chocolate mixture over the cherry pie filling evenly.
  6. Warm the hot fudge sauce in the microwave for about 30 seconds and pour it over the chocolate cake mix layer.
  7. Bake for 40-50 minutes, or until the top is set and a toothpick inserted comes out mostly clean.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before serving so the flavors can meld.
