A vibrant and flavor-packed fried rice dish that combines colorful vegetables and protein for a satisfying meal.

  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (like peas, carrots, and bell peppers)
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 cup protein (like shrimp, chicken, or tofu)
  • 1 tablespoon chili sauce (optional for heat)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Your Rice: If you haven’t already, make your rice ahead of time or use leftover rice. Spread it out on a baking sheet to cool and dry.
  2. Heat the Skillet: Preheat your skillet or wok over medium heat and add sesame oil.
  3. Sauté the Veggies: Add mixed vegetables and sauté for about 3–4 minutes.
  4. Introduce the Protein: Add raw protein and cook until fully done, about 5 minutes, or sauté tofu until slightly golden.
  5. Mix the Rice: Add cooked rice and soy sauce, stirring vigorously for about 3–5 minutes.
  6. Finish with Green Onions: Add chopped green onions and mix well, adding chili sauce if desired.
  7. Serve Hot: Serve your Bang Bang Fried Rice on colorful plates and garnish with extra green onions.

Notes

Use day-old rice for best texture and customize with your choice of vegetables and proteins.
