Banana Split Dump Cake

A delightful twist on the classic banana split, this dump cake is easy to make and filled with nostalgic flavors.

Ingredients

  • 34 ripe bananas
  • 1 cup chocolate syrup
  • 1 cup pineapple chunks (drained)
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)
  • Whipped cream or ice cream for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9×13 inch cake pan with cooking spray or melted butter.
  3. Layer the sliced bananas and drained pineapple chunks at the bottom of the prepared pan. Drizzle chocolate syrup over the fruit.
  4. Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the fruit and syrup.
  5. Drizzle melted butter over the dry cake mix.
  6. Sprinkle chopped nuts on top.
  7. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until golden brown. A toothpick should come out mostly clean.

Notes

Best served warm with a scoop of ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.
