Apple Spice Chocolate Chip Cookies

  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup peeled and finely chopped apples
  • ½ cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg until well combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter mixture, mixing until fully combined.
  5. Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, folding gently until just combined.
  6. Fold in the apples and chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  7. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Bake for 12-15 minutes until the edges are set and lightly golden.

Notes

For best results, do not overbake. Store in an airtight container to maintain softness.
